With the fragmenting of Lichien and the remaining companions scattered; the Four Lands settle. The Southland slowly starts to rebuild, a Council is created and peace descends for a few years. The newly re-formed Lichien adjusts within the body of the princess and the Northlands, once again, dominates Sennovia.

Then, suddenly, one cold night, Lichien flees North Ridge and with her departure the Drow come from under Death Peak and lay siege to Sanctuary. War breaks out from west to east.

For twenty-two years the siege lasts--until something even deadlier than Lichien is released from under the caverns of North Ridge by the Dwarven miners. Something that terrifies Lichien.

North Ridge now lies breached and Sasheer is able for the first time to return and search the dark tunnels . . .
